Homebuyer Reports
We undertake Homebuyer
Reports and Building Surveys for prospective
purchasers of properties. These are a cost-effective way of gaining
an independent professional report on the market value and
condition of the property before buying it.
For modern buildings, and perhaps
smaller older houses, we generally use the Royal Institution of
Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Homebuyer Report.
Carried out by our experienced
chartered surveyors, Homebuyer Reports give buyers an insight into
the current condition and likely maintenance obligations on the
property they are about to purchase. Even relatively modern
properties can show signs of problems, particularly since houses
built in the 1960s, for instance, can now require rewiring, and
many 1970s and 1980s houses have problems with rot and woodworm.
The reports also give an indication of value, any legal issues
that may be apparent, and insurance valuation.
Homebuyer Reports are normally
available within about 7 working days after instructions are
confirmed.
